Containers travel by tilt-bed truck, which slides the unit gently onto level ground. Trailers travel on a flatbed or are towed to you by a licensed hauler. Estimated arrival is typically 4–10 business days from order. Remote areas or custom builds may add lead time — we confirm an exact window before every dispatch.
Delivery & site access
Free freight covers delivery to any address in the continental United States. We call or email you to book a delivery window once your unit is ready to ship. Orders paid by bank wire/ACH ship once funds clear.
To take a container off a tilt-bed, please make sure your site is ready:
- Level, firm ground (gravel, concrete or compacted dirt)
- Roughly 100 ft of straight clearance for the truck to back in and slide the unit off
- At least 14 ft of overhead clearance (no low branches or power lines)
- Clear access for a truck & trailer up to 70 ft long
If your site needs a crane or precise positioning, choose white-glove placement at checkout.
Trailers need far less: somewhere firm to drop the unit and enough room for the hauler to turn around. If you are collecting it yourself, bring a tow vehicle rated above the trailer’s GVWR and the correct ball or pintle for the coupler.
Yard pickup
Yard pickup: our yard.
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM · Sat 9AM – 2PM.
Bring your order number and photo ID. We'll email you the moment your unit is ready for pickup.
Order handling & holidays
Orders placed before 1:00 PM CT on a business day usually enter the same-day handling queue. Orders placed after 1:00 PM, on weekends, or on US federal holidays are processed on the next business day.
Inspection, risk & damage claims
Title and risk pass to the buyer on delivery. Inspect your unit on arrival and note any transit damage on the driver's delivery receipt before signing. Photos and a same-day email to orders@bernalcontainers.com are essential for any freight-damage claim.
Separately from damage claims, a delivered, undamaged unit may be returned within 30 days of delivery under a Return Authorization, with return freight at your expense. See the Returns & Refund Policy.
